Vendor Terms & Conditions

 

  1. Upon handing your items over for sale, you are giving Follow The Clothes Ltd (referred hereon as “the business”) the opportunity to sell your items at a price point the business deems fair and appropriate.
  2. The business may choose to include your item in promotion and sale activity at it’s discretion.
  3. You will be paid 50% commission on the final sell price of your items if you choose to receive a cash payment (via BACS) or you can opt for credit to spend in store at the value of 60% of the final sell price of your item(s).
  4. We can discuss smaller commission rates for high end luxury items such as Chanel and Hermes.
  5. Payments will be made on the last Friday of each month (or the day before if a national Bank Holiday falls on the last Friday of the month). We will pay out on anything which was sold in the final 2 weeks of the previous month and the first 2 weeks in the current month to allow for reasonable admin, and refund periods for any items sold online.
  6. We will list items for a minimum of 6 weeks before delisting (for handbags and occasion/prom dresses we may choose to keep these for up to 6 months).
  7. If any of your items are delisted - we will make contact with you via the email address you provide when you sign up to be a vendor. If items are not collected within 14 days of you being notified, we will dispose of items via our charity partners. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before disposing of items.
  8. If you opt to be paid out for sold items via BACS, the responsibility is yours to ensure all information held, including BACS details, are up to date and correct. We are not liable for any payments made to the incorrect account if data supplied by you is incorrect.
  9. We stock mostly items from premium and luxury fashion brands. We reserve the right to refuse to sell any item we don’t feel is suitable for our store.
  10. We ask that all items submitted for sale are in good condition, with no stains or other damage. We ask that all items are in clean condition. Any items not meeting our quality standards will be automatically delisted and you will be notified via email and asked to collect items within 14 days. Any items not collected within this timeframe will be disposed of.
  11. We accept items for sale at any time, however please be aware that during busy times we may review your items later on during a quieter time or after hours. We will contact you at this point if we need to automatically delist any of your items.
  12. If you are wanting to sell larger consignments we may be able to offer a collection service from your home if you are within a 10 mile radius of the shop. If you are interested in this, please call us to discuss.
  13. If you change your mind and decide you want any unsold items back during the sell period, please contact us as soon as you are able to and we can arrange for the items to be taken off sale and made available for you to collect. It might not be possible to delist an item for collection without prior notice.
  14. Whilst we authenticate all items submitted, we ask that you don’t submit any items for sale which are counterfeit. The sale of counterfeit goods is illegal in the UK, and we may refuse to sell any of your items on your behalf if anything submitted is counterfeit.
  15. All items submitted are done so at the vendor’s risk. We endeavour to take good care of your items whilst they are in our shop, however, we are not liable for any accidental damage to items whilst these are in our care. In the event of an item being stolen from our premises, we will pay out the minimum price excluding our commission that we had valued your item at. Please be assured that we take measures to ensure items are well looked after and kept secure whilst they are in our store.
  16. We reserve the right to cancel this agreement with any vendor, and/or to refuse to take on a new vendor without notice. Any abusive or offensive communication from a vendor, verbal or otherwise, will result in this agreement automatically being cancelled, and any items listed will be returned to the vendor or disposed of, and pay out for final monies owed will be made.
  17. By entering into this agreement, you are confirming that you are the owner of all items submitted for sale, or that you have express permission from the owner of the items to sell on their behalf. Any submitted items which are suspected as being stolen will be reported to the police.
  18. We reserve the right to amend T&Cs at any time the business deems fit. If these T&Cs are amended in any way, we will email you a copy of the new T&Cs and ask for confirmation that you agree before continuing to sell items on your behalf.
